Um, did Susan Rice really just say that? I’m watching my man Tucker on MSNBC and I have to rewind the DVR to be sure. Yup, I can’t believe it but she did. Barack Obama’s own foreign policy adviser just said he is NOT ready for the 3:00 am phone call. Watch it here:
If Obama expects to make up for his gross inexperience with quality advisors, is she one of them? Does his going to Harvard and being a liberal elite somehow endow him some magical level of judgment that kicks in when he takes the oath? I can’t say I follow the logic.

The video clip fails to include the rest of the interview with Rice. Two or three sentences later, Rice says neither Clinton, Obama or McCain have had the 3AM call experience.
The McCain campaign, obviously, responded to the video as edited and cited it as proof neither Democrat was ready for the presidency.
It’s not clear to me why the media is playing the edited video without adding the context.

I think the point is that, in a soundbyte society, that’s not something a senior advisor should say.
